20 Minute Update - When our technicians are 20 minutes away from your scheduled appointment they will call to let you know they are on the way.
Introduction - Our technicians will introduce themselves with a smile and ask for a short tour of your home, removing their shoes at the front door.
Short Tour - We will ask you to point out the location of each vent in your home, during this time we will explain how the provess will work specifically with your home and furnace.
2. pre-cleaning process
Remove Large Debris - We find army men, fast food wrappers, cereal, sawdust, wood scraps and more in the first few feet of floor vents. We remove this debris with a 5 hp portable vacuum to make sure it doesn't harm your ductwork upon the final cleaning.
Scratch and Polish - More often than not floor vents are uncapped during construction and remodeling allowing for spacling and primer buildup inside the metal boot. After many cycles of heating and cooling this becomes airborne, we scratch and polish the boot as clean as possible with stainless steel scratch pads.
3. Cleaning Process
Assess HVAC System - Every air duct cleaning begins with the technician correctly identifying how the furnace operates and the location of the different trunk lines and air ducts.
Separate Supply and Return - We will separate both sides of your furnace to more efficiently utilize our vacuum and ensure no damage is caused to internal components of your furnace.
Attach 5,000 CFM Vacuum - Using an 8" hose we will tie in to the supply and return side of your furnace. This access hole will be completely sealed with 18ga steel plate.
Agitate Every Vent - After sealing all but one vent with plastic (sucked down on the vent like a vacuum), we will use our compressed air whip system to agitate the fine particulate from your duct work and to our vacuum.
Furnace Cleaning - Once each and every air duct and trunk line has been cleaned we completely clean the furnace, blower motor and other components using compressed air.
4. Quality Control
Inspection - We will visually inspect the internal surfaces of your ductwork to ensure a through cleaning.
Testing - Following the air duct cleaning we will cycle the system on to ensure the HVAC system is functioning properly.
Final Cleanup - After our work is complete we will come through the work area again with a vacuum and duster to ensure we leave the area cleaner than when we found it.
